Diet Update

Don't know whether you really care or not, but I don't have much else to write about right now, so I'll give you an update on my diet. As you may recall, i started the new year off by going on a diet. So it's been 2 months already. This last month definitely was not the best month to be on a diet. First there was the trip to jersey in the beginning of the month, so there was no exercising and lots of eating crappy and drinking. Then I was sick for about a week, and it wasn't even one of those good sicks where you lose your appetite and don't eat so you wind up losing weight. It just made me feel miserable enough to not want to work out. And then last week my boss was in town from NY, so there were a couple of nights of eating lots and drinking heavily on his dime. Combine that with a general malaise, and this month definitely wasn't what it could have been. Now these all sound like excuses, and frankly they are. I'll be honest. i am really half assing my way through this diet. There are nights where i just don't feel like working out, so I don't and there are days where i don't feel like eating healthy because I just feel like having a burrito or something. And weekends, when i have plenty of time to work out, I just don't. I should, but I don't.

So after all of this, i am still managing to lose weight. So it can't be too bad, right? I still managed to lose 4 pounds last month. So my total is up to 12 for the year. I might try and push myself and make the extra effort this month so that I can get up to a total of 20 for the first 3 months. We'll see.

In other news, we are looking in to our next trip up to Jersey. right now, it looks like it will be either in May or early June. We have both Fetus' wedding and my nephews baptism going on in that timeframe. The baptism isn't set yet which is making us not be able to set our plans. Ideally it would be great if they work out to be the same weekend, but we don't have that kind of luck. So family is probably going to have to outrule friends here and we'll probably be up whenever the baptism is. Who knows. We'll figure it all out at some point.
